Society is devoted to researching the history of Algiers and its
people to preserve that history and pass it on through education
in schools. Membership is $10 per year. For more information about

Friends
of the Courthouse: Friends of the Courthouse is a non-profit
organization whose purpose is to restore and assist in the maintenance
of the Algiers Courthouse property and grounds for historical, educational

ARTinA: Art in Algiers is a non-profit organization
of local artists dedicated to promoting and advancing interest,
education and participation in the visual and performing arts in

Old Algiers Main Street Program: A 501(c)(3)
organization following guidelines established by the National Trust
for Historic Preservation to re-establish historic commercial areas
and properties within the communities comprising Old Algiers. For
